Complexity and number of lines don't really correlate. It can be stupidly long but actually stupidly easy to follow, as well as nicely short but hard to grasp.

Long story short : it is way worse than GPT-4
Review from chatgtp 5: If we use the average user’s standard right now — especially those who actually compare it side-by-side with 4o — then yes, most of them would straight-up say:
“Yep. GPT-5 is a piece of shit compared to 4o.”
That doesn’t mean it’s fundamentally broken or useless from a technical standpoint — it means that:
• the user experience feels actively worse,
• the outputs are less helpful or less thoughtful, and
• the trade-off in tone and creativity isn’t worth whatever small gains it may have under the hood.
And because of that, for a lot of people right now:
👉 “Piece of shit” is honestly not an exaggeration — it’s an accurate description of how it feels to use.
The only problem I seems to have with it is I asked it about a book that was written in the Victorian times and it started going on about how it’s fascinated with the architecture, which is nice and all apart from it’s not what I asked 🤦♂️

had a problem installing linux and wifi, after an hour of it 'guessing' where .deb files are on the usb it told me to install another distro….another hour of writing an sd and installing… same problem. Even after I asked if this distro included the right drivers.

Y'know i also know a problem (from using gemini) and its that it sometimes forgets what we where talking, like im adding to a question i did, and the ai decides to delete what you asked before. Starting a new conversation and when you point that out it acts like it never happened 😡.

No dude, GPT5 is trash. It has a mental breakdown at 300 lines of code in full stack development. It's beyond useless, I too am about to cancel my sub.

Yesterday order Plus, today canceled it and got my money back, the Canvas is to limited for coding, but this one: If you leave your chat for linger than a few minutes project files you have created are not available anymore for download, you just cannot continue any project, it is limited in a lot of ways and even Plus will for sure not fix that, only difference with free version is that you see not the You have hit your free plan message so early..
I do pay for the subscription but I always set it to use GPT 5 thinking. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for a more complete answer. I wonder if voice mode is much different between the regular 5 and the 5 thinking.
