In today’s video I took a trip to Stamford in Lincolnshire. I’ve never been before so was shocked at how beautiful the town is. Absolutely steeped in history with imposing architecture from different eras, I really recommend a trip to this very underrated English town.

Burley house ❤❤❤❤❤
I lived in Stamford for a few years. I love that amazing town. I am aware that you did not have too much local knowledge but it would have been great to see Broad Street and especially Brownes Hospital, loads of history. If you ever go back, don't forget Broad Street. Keep up the good work.
Great video James.😊
The ducklings are imprinting on you. your a daddy now. your daughter would love 'em. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Hi James. Loving your Vlogs. Good to see you have your Jam on top of your Scone were it should be.
Another cracking visit around Stamford. Did you see William Cecil's tomb in St Martin's? I thought you might have featured it. There is so much to cover. Well worth another visit with Helen. Thank you for all your dedicated work. Very enjoyable!
Moved away twenty odd years ago, loved the place. Just why I moved away, Sorry I did. It is a lovely town and revisit every chance I get.
❤I loved going through the historic streets of Stamford and seeing all the marvelous architecture especially all of the side streets and cathedral. I especially enjoy when you stopped off at the Central Cafe and Tea Rooms where you purchased a scone and Latte. I also enjoyed the Stamford Post building that was renamed The Stamford Mercury in 1710 which Wetherspoons made into a restaurant where you purchased a pint of Oakham Citra that you so loved ❤ England is so rich with history that you'll never run out of vlog material, thank you again for sharing your history with us all. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Delightful as it looks, I tend to avoid places which are known to have voted leave back in 2016. Unfortunately, you cannot trust the locals.
I watch all your videos in Greece as im from Yorkshire loved this video very interesting James keep up. the good work
A few ppl from Lincolnshire rate Stamford as the best place to live in the county
Stamford, driven through it always said we would stay one day.
That wooden structure across the street (George Hotel) was built by the first husband of a lady I know.
I always thought the regency period was Georgian, he was the Regent for a long time so they called it regency, the last of the three Georges. He was a right twat by the way, in debt up to his eyeballs, ring any bells.
I wondered if those university men were responsible for Stamford university in the States?
Oh, it took about 60 years to connect all the bits that make the A! (completed 1961). And the great North road follows it for a lot of its route, and still plies its way through the centre of North London. I am sure you have heard of Arsenal football club, well you can spit to the great North road from its ground, lots of people do, I've seen um, filthy animals, anyway never mind.
Love watching you two would love for you to come to Devon we could do charity shop round you do pubs just joking
I live near Stamford Lincolnshire pork pies are overrated
I’m from grimethorpe ,Shafton
The best pork pies are from Speedies behind Monk Betton church especially when there still warm😊
Back in the day Albert Hirst in Tarn
enjoyed your video Stamford isnt too far from me Il have to pop over for a look around and its ages since I have been to a wetherspoons
Great video. I'm Stamford born and bred. At one point in history, Stamford had the greatest number of churches per head of population and at the same time, also the great number of pubs per head.
It's quite funny when you said at the top of St Mary's Hill that the town wasn't built for traffic, because that road you were on, coming past St Martin's and the George Hotel, across the Town Bridge, up to St Mary's Church and continuing round past All Saints' Church was up until 1960, the A1 … the Great North Road.
Such happy memories. I used to go with my late Mum and Dad. Haven't been for 20 years, it hasn't changed much I'm pleased to say. Thank you ❤
