  1. Any news on Shapr generating a cutlist? Woodworkers are many and it would be a big plus.

  2. How and where don we apply for the 10% discount? i downloaded and subscribed via Apple Store and cant see anyway to get the discount.

  3. While I really like Shapr and think it's generally better – the way you represent and use sketchup is highly misleading… like 9:24 for example… you could simply select the surface and move it to the right…

  4. I had sketchup for two years and had the pro version, but not using it daily it wasn’t worth it. My biggest complaint was the login process which, if you only log in once every few months is unnecessarily complicated. By the time I got logged in sometimes whatever idea I had was long forgotten!

  5. 0:10 I know this video is from three years ago, and it was perfectly fine to compare it to SketchUp at that time.

But now, in 2025, there’s an app called Plasticity! I think if we want a good comparison, wouldn’t it be perfect to compare both apps? They’re both CAD software.

Please consider making a video for your viewers, even if there’s no sponsorship request.

  6. For carpenters, how do I get the cutting list, which program do I need to transfer it to and how?

  7. Out of date now, and the reviewer seems to not be familiar with some basic SU features that make some the “difficulties” easy.

  8. I learned on sketchup and I never swear that much, I think it's super counterintuitive and super annoying haha I changed for TinkerCAD but didn't like or dislike it but I felt I needed something else and I discovered Shapr3D AWWWWWWW, OMG day and night!! so much BETTER!!!

  9. Sketch up for iPad literally does everything shaper does and more. This video was definitely paid for by sharper. Don’t fall for it folks. Sketch up is the #1 3d design program for both pc and I pad.

  10. The most important thing to consider is where are your designs stored? Do your designs get uploaded to their servers or anyone else's?
In this day and age of frequently updates EULA's and how they are stealth changes you can never be too careful with these turn coat company's

  11. To any software publisher that does not need SLA in its core to function, but still has a subscription business model: i wish you a merry bankruptcy. Good non-subscription cad software has a harder time gaining traction thanks to you

  12. Great info. Also glad to hear someone out there use the term “learning process” because most people nowadays say “learning curve” which is not correct

  13. Let me also add, if you're one who does wood working as well as the 3D printing, Shapr3D is awesome CAD for designing for 3D printing. So for me, it's one tool that does it all. Can't speak about Sketchup however since I've not used it for that so take it for what it's worth.

  14. Thank you for being so thorough but in a chill way. And loved your 2 cents in comparison between the two platforms.
