There was a flurry of exciting news in the hotel industry this week. Hyatt announced 2 new all-inclusive resorts in St. Lucia and Bulgaria, while Marriott debuted a Westin resort on a private island in Indonesia. Additionally, we have more details about a Miraval resort set to open in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea later this year.

Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, St. Lucia

Hyatt is growing its all-inclusive presence in the Caribbean nation of St. Lucia. The 355-room, adults-only Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa has opened on St. Lucia’s northwestern coast. Each room offers furnished private balconies, 24-hour room service, and a daily refreshed mini-bar. Swim-out suites are also available in select rooms.

Amenities include a spa, several pools, and a wide array of dining options, including 5 à la carte restaurants, a buffet, and 7 bars and lounges.

AluaSoul Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

Hyatt announced another all-inclusive resort this week — this time, on the other side of the world in Bulgaria. AluaSoul Sunny Beach, situated along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, features 397 guest rooms and suites, catering exclusively to adults.

Amenities include 6 restaurants and bars, 2 pools, a spa, a fitness center, and a unique amenity dubbed My Favorite Club. This option offers perks such as early check-in and late checkout, reserved areas at restaurants, private hotel areas, and premium accommodation options.

Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel, France

The Radisson Collection has made its debut in France with the opening of the Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel. The hotel is located in a historic building dating back to the 14th century.

But today, it offers 61 guest rooms and suites, a fine dining restaurant, a bistro, and a spa. The hotel is located in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Vieux Lyon district, offering easy access to dining, shopping, and transportation.

The Westin Nirup Island Resort & Spa, Batam, Indonesia

One of the most exciting hotel announcements this week was The Westin Nirup Island Resort & Spa in Batam, Indonesia. Located on the private island of Nirup (and a 20-minute ferry ride from Singapore’s Harbourfront Terminal), this resort has 94 guest rooms and suites and 52 villas.

Each offers private balconies, outdoor spaces, or terraces offering views of Singapore’s skyline. The resort offers 4 restaurants, a spa, a pool, a kids’ club, and a fitness center.

Moxy Istanbul Beyoğlu, Türkiye

Moxy Istanbul Beyoğlu has opened with 167 guest rooms and suites. True to the brand, the hotel offers smart amenities for guests, including rooms with USB ports, smart TVs, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Upcoming Hotels

1 Hotel Copenhagen, Denmark (August 2025)

Reservations are now available for the highly anticipated 1 Hotel Copenhagen, which is set to open in August. The 1 Hotel Copenhagen, located in the city’s historic Latin Quarter, will have 252 guest rooms and 30 suites. The hotel will feature several restaurants, a fitness center, and a spa, all of which are scheduled to open next year. Rates start at around $ 450 per night.

Miraval The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia (Late 2025)

The Miraval brand is gearing up for its first full-service, adults-only resort outside of the United States, with Miraval The Red Sea slated to open this winter. The resort will feature 160 guest rooms and suites, a 40,000-square-foot spa with 39 treatment rooms, and a range of additional amenities.

Right now, it’s unclear how much a stay here will cost with cash or World of Hyatt points. But given Miraval’s other resorts, we can assume it won’t be cheap.

The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort, Singapore (October 2025)

The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort, Singapore, is set to open this fall. The all-suite hotel, located in Resorts World Sentosa, will have 183 rooms. Amenities will include several dining options, an outdoor pool, a spa, and a fitness center.

As a Luxury Collection hotel, rates here are steep. Cash prices start at around $ 800 nightly. However, Marriott Bonvoy awards are more reasonably priced, starting at 92,500 points per night for dates next spring.

voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang, Vietnam (2025)

IHG has signed a deal for the 250-room voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang in Vietnam, which should open later this year. The hotel, situated along the beach, will feature a swimming pool, restaurant, bars, and meeting facilities. 

Crowne Plaza Katowice, Poland (2026)

In another signing for IHG, the hotel giant announced this week that it would open the Crowne Plaza Katowice in southern Poland next year. The 178-room hotel will offer a restaurant, a lobby café, and meeting and events spaces.

NoMad Detroit, Michigan (2027)

The swanky NoMad brand has announced plans to open a hotel in the Motor City, with NoMad Detroit set to debut in 2027. Not much is known about the hotel, but it will have 180 guest rooms, including 30 suites, restaurant and bar options, and wellness facilities.

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston, South Carolina (2028)

Charleston, South Carolina, is one of the most popular destinations in the southern United States. Many hotels have established a presence in the city, and now another one is joining the ranks: the ultra-luxe Four Seasons

Opening in 2028, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston will have 139 guest rooms and 36 branded residences. Amenities will include 4 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool with private cabanas, and 7,000 square feet of event space.

voco London – Waterloo and Hotel Indigo & Suites London, United Kingdom (2028)

IHG announced a dual signing in London for voco and Hotel Indigo hotels. The voco London will offer 182 guest rooms, while Hotel Indigo & Suites London will have 172 guest rooms and suites. When they open in 2028, both hotels will offer restaurants, bars, cafés, a gym, and a business center.

Final Thoughts

This was a particularly exciting week across the hotel industry, with several new all-inclusive resorts, a new resort on a private island (that’s affordable with points), and news about upcoming hotels in Saudi Arabia, Charleston, and more.
