Portable slams Carter Efe over ₦10 million TikTok live fee dispute

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has taken a swipe at skit maker and content creator Carter Efe following a public fallout over a proposed TikTok live session appearance.

According to circulating reports, Carter Efe had approached Portable with a request to feature on one of his live streams. However, the conversation reportedly took a sharp turn when Portable demanded a staggering ₦10 million fee to join the session.

Carter Efe, visibly shocked by the demand, took to social media to express his disbelief. “How much are we even making from the live stream? I’m just tired,” he lamented, mocking the hefty fee.

In a fiery response via video, Portable lashed out at Carter Efe, accusing him of attempting to exploit him the same way he allegedly did to his former signee, Young Duu. The Zazoo Zeh hitmaker didn’t mince words, branding Carter a “thief” and recalling past grievances.

“Thief! You ripped my boy. You took him to Lekki and didn’t give him food, buy him a car, or even clothes. Now you want to use me? Bring money first!” Portable fumed.

He further criticised Young Duu for not heeding his advice to charge for appearances during their time together, suggesting the young artist’s current struggles could have been avoided.

“Na Young Duu no get sense. Now they’ve used him. I told him back then, when they call you, ask for money,” Portable added.

This fresh drama has reignited discussions about Carter Efe’s rocky history with Young Duu, whose brief stint under the content creator’s management ended amid allegations of exploitation and neglect.
