Founded by Chef Ariana Barkin, Atelier Ariana began as a stoop-side pop-up pâtisserie in Carroll Gardens and has grown into a beloved neighborhood café where every detail, from the golden croissants to the perfectly poured cappuccinos, reflects a passion for craft and community.
“Chef Ariana is truly the heart of everything we do,” the team tells us. “After six years in Paris—the pastry capital of the world—she launched Atelier Ariana to bring her dream to life. Every item we serve is crafted in-house with care, creativity, and a whole lot of heart.”
From its humble beginnings to its current brick-and-mortar location just blocks from the original pop-up, Atelier Ariana has remained rooted in intention and love for the neighborhood.
“Community is everything to us—it’s why we started on a stoop and why we’re still here,” the team shares. “Carroll Gardens welcomed us with so much love from day one. We’ve built real relationships with our guests, neighbors, and fellow small businesses.”
Whether it’s their 3-day ferment croissant dough or their handcrafted Milk Chocolate & Coffee Macarons (which feature our Colombia La Quebrada beans steeped in cream for 48 hours), every offering is a testament to patience, quality, and creativity.
“Nothing here is mass-produced or rushed,” they tell us. “When you walk in, we hope it feels like you’ve been transported to a little spot in Paris—cozy, elegant, and delicious.”
In addition to daily café service, Atelier Ariana has recently launched a hands-on croissant workshop designed to take guests behind the scenes crafting their viennoiserie.
We’re honored that Atelier Ariana has chosen to pair our coffee with their pastries—and that they see a shared commitment to quality, consistency, and respect for the craft in our operations.
