On Keys

Hello, Citizens of Funk World! I hope you’re all having an awesome week!

My family just got back from our spring break trip to Destin, Florida. I’m glad to be home, but I can’t say I don’t miss Destin. For instance, I really liked being able to see the beach from our hotel room’s balcony, even if I don’t actually like going on the beach due to my aversion to sand. I already miss spending a good amount of time in the lazy river and hot tub and eating out at all of the local restaurants. One thing I won’t miss, however, is how long it takes to get to Destin by car. Spending 12 hours in a cramped car isn’t exactly my idea of a good time.

Fortunately, my family made a lot of rest stops, so we had the chance to stretch our legs for a little bit before getting back on the road. One of those rest stops was at Buc-ee’s, a famous convenience store/gas station that’s ginormous. We each got a bag of candy to hold us over for a while (I got a big bag of sour gummy worms), and I even got to meet the store’s mascot, Buc-ee!

Speaking of gas stations, today’s comic is based off of a funny story I heard from my grandmother about gas stations. I hope you enjoy it!

Stay Comical!
