Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8 Manga To End With Chapter 129

Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8 will conclude in two chapters, according to an announcement on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website following the release of chapter 127 on June 6, 2025.

The series’ 128th chapter is scheduled to drop on June 20, followed by the final chapter, 129.

Matsumoto had previously hinted at the manga’s conclusion back in July 2024, when the 13th compiled volume was released.

At the time, he noted that the story was reaching its climax and expressed gratitude to readers for their support.

The story is currently reaching its climax, but I will continue to give my all to draw Kaiju No. 8, so please continue to support me,” he wrote.

Matsumoto launched the manga on Shonen Jump+ in July 2020. Its chapters have been collected in 15 tankobon volumes as of March 2025.

Shueisha has also published the series digitally on its Manga Plus platform in English and several other languages. Viz Media began publishing the series digitally in August 2020 and has published the series in print in North America since December 2021.

An anime television series adaptation produced by Production I.G aired from April 13 to June 29, 2024, with a second season set to start airing on July 19, 2025.
