I think every woodworker wants to develop their own unique style of furniture. Some guys are true artists and come up with beautiful and original designs.
I’m not that unique, and I like the classic lines of shaker-inspired furniture. So I’ve simply formalized my own take on it, with a few years of design input from my customers.

The Milton Collection of Modern-Shaker furniture features:
1. Hardwood Construction – We use Oak, Walnut, Pecan, Cherry, or Mesquite. We selectively use 3/4″ or 1/2″ premium plywood where needed. We NEVER use particle board, mdf, or 1/4″ material.
2. Amazing Drawers – Our Drawers are built from solid wood with exposed domino tenon jointery for strength and beauty. The bottoms of our drawers are 1/2″ thick for superior strength. Finally, we use undermount, full extension, and soft-close drawer slides for a clean look and smooth function.
3. Premium Finishes – We use only use durable professional grade finishes. Oak can be stained a variety of colors, and woods like Walnut, Pecan, and Mesquite shine with our durable clearcoat process.
4. Built to Last. We use a combination of domino-tenon jointery and pocket hole jointery to build furniture you’ll love and your grandchildren will fight over.

Nice dresser and well organized shop ❤
How many hours of labor?
I like this style and your build techniques. Great detail and commentary on what you're doing in the video. I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos. #subscribed
Great built. I have the plans as well.
What drawer slides did you use – can you post a link to them please?
Half inch plywood warps way too easily
I purchased your plans to make two dressers for my daughters for Christmas. The first I’ve used all of the same dimensions on the plan. My second one I cut down to 40 inches, four drawers to fit her space. The plans were detailed and very good. Thank you.
very interesting shop, nice video
Nice, might buy the plans for the daughter’s next dresser when she moved out of the nursery. Question, I checked your web page as well, couldn’t see where you mention what rail square you’re using. Looks simple and hopefully more affordable than most I’ve seen recommended!
Very nice work buddy simple stylish and very professional
Looks like 1990s Walmart. But whatever it is, it is not Shaker.
I took up inspiration from your dresser build and I am in the process of building one in the same style. With a few alterations, integrated power, drawer lighting, and I changed the side panels to have a third style down the center. When I saw your video on this I loved the simplicity. A lot of the older dressers are way to ornate. My best girl loves the way it looks and wants a complete bedroom set built to match haha. Thank you for sharing your work!
Can we buy the finished product or do you only sell plans?

Nice Dresser, great job
Nice job!
Wonderful
You gotta stop running your fingers by the router bit! Matter of time man. I like the videos, but good lord, be safe.
Very cool video and great build
There is nothing about this piece that is remotely "Shaker", whether traditional or modern.
Not the design, materials or workmanship. Ersatz Japanese maybe.
Great job, but you didn't mention any top coat for the black stained portion nor the drawer fronts. is it urathane ?
