Here’s a little flower that grows every week, and usually starts every week’s post. Mondays are always LL days for just a little longer. In the fall, she starts preschool~
May 18th is Daddy’s Heaven Day, and we are thankful his marker has been installed on his grave. We love and miss you, Daddy, until we see you again~
Happy Birthday to the May Girls!
Ella had her formal end-of-the-year banquet with HSA. This has been a huge part of her college experience this year, getting to know so many kids with similar ethnicities. She will be on the leadership team next year, and I know God has BIG plans for her life~
Out of the blue, we had a thunderstorm complete with hail~
Scott, WP, and HM ran the Hartwell Dam Race together. This was the kids’ first, and they did amazing!!! They have both put in a lot of miles this year and showed it with their time and stamina! SO proud of all 3!!!
The finishers~
Can’t really see them, but we planted 2 apple and 1 peach tree on our driveway~
Another Dance~
We dropped them off at about 6 and left a car to drive home when they were ready. While we waited to hear from them, the Colonel sent a photo of them dancing and said, “Will can dance”… who knew??? They had a wonderful time, drove home in a thunderstorm, and had lots to chat about when they arrived. What a great experience for them!!!
Scott and I walked through some of the property he had been looking at, and all I could do was take photos of nature. We LOVE a good nature walk~
Birthday gifts for the birthday kids including Payne~
We grilled burgers and dogs for dinner and had ice cream cake to celebrate~
Happy birthday to the May kids~
Mimi found such a creative idea with the pack of paint brushes I had for the kids. I thought they could just paint with water, but she crushed paint and let them paint art. They LOVED it!!!
Little “Pinkalicious” doing her work~ 🥰
Beach Vacation~
The boys had to stay to host the Chamber of Commerce’s After Hours. Mimi and Ella were there too and sent photos! I loved it so much~
The girls and I went to Target to shop, ate dinner, and picked up groceries. Before we knew it, it was Wednesday, and the boys pulled in about 10. They couldn’t wait to be on the beach. Just LOOK how the littles have turned into bigs, all the same height pretty much~
Even as teenagers, they still love hanging out and playing on the beach: digging, playing games, and catching crabs. SJ loved reading alongside me!!! It was so wonderful~
Do you see this condo highrise? Such a beautiful story behind it! Scott’s parents visited it when Mimi was a baby and bought a share of a condo we have used as a family ever since. They went every time it was their turn and let us pile in with them. Our family once shared one bedroom with two beds and five people. It did not phase us at all! We loved it and have such great memories!
Now the four grown children share it and have a week or two every year. We were so thrilled to go this spring for a bit of time! Just to sit on the beach and have time to talk about everything under the sun… literally under the Sun! It was a great gift that Scott’s parents could never have guessed would reach so far into the future, but it was not lost on us. We talked about them so much~
Little bit was enjoying her pool too, and had tubes put in on Thursday. This is a photo of her on the way home~
Even a rainy day didn’t get us down~
Scott and I still had our date night (mandatory by the kids) at Gulf Stream while they ate at Mellow Mushroom. This was our view from our table, and it was a wonderful time~
One of the most loved traditions when we go to the beach is dinner at PF Chang’s, and a walk through the bookstore, so we made it happen! Everyone came out with new books, and I even scored a cute outfit from my favorite place for Mother’s Day~
Our condo is on the 4th floor, and the view can’t be matched. Sunrise in the morning, and a wide open ocean and horizon that thrills and blesses~
Just more pics at the beach. Scott and I walk about three miles every morning while we are there, and on Saturday morning, there was a baseball team at the field practicing. I loved this snap of him watching and remembering some of his favorite memories as a young boy~
By the last day, we only had a small window of sunshine, so the kids stayed in and we went to have the beach all to ourselves. LOVED every minute!!! Before we knew it, it was time to head home. We can’t wait for our next trip down there. I can tell by the photo in the middle that the whole vacation did us a world of good! Thank You Jesus for the gift!!!
Mother’s Day~
Happy Mother’s Day to the BEST Mama in the world!!! I can’t imagine my life without her and SO thankful for her love every single day~
