Josiah’s First Birthday Cake Smash

Turning one is such a fun time for not only the child, but for their family as well. I’ve had the joy of photographing Josiah since he was only a few days old & his milestones leading up to the big first birthday! It was a beautiful day at Floyd Lamb Park for their family portraits. Josiah’s mom made a delicious cake for him to dig into. It’s nice to capture the cake before it gets destroyed during the smashing part of the session. Some parents love to bake and decorate their own cakes for these smash cake sessions. There are also many wonderful bakeries in Las Vegas that make beautiful birthday cakes for kids Birthdays. Josiah really enjoyed digging into his cake once he got the okay from mom of course. He picked at it a few times before he jumped in and just tore it apart. Good thing we captured the cake before hand!

Floyd Lamb Park Tule Springs was a great Las Vegas location to photograph Josiah’s Cake Smash session. With the unpredictable Las Vegas weather, we were lucky to have such gorgeous morning to photograph Josiah enjoying his first birthday cake. He had an amazing time playing in the grass while he got covered in icing.
