Introducing Test Reporting & Analytics

Introducing Test Reporting & Analytics

We are excited to announce that BrowserStack Test Observability is now BrowserStack Test Reporting & Analytics. This change, effective May 12th, 2025 reflects a clearer and more accurate representation of the value we deliver to Quality Engineering (QE) teams worldwide.

Note: This is purely a name change—no action is required from existing users. All your configurations, data, and integrations remain exactly the same.

Why the Name Change?

Over the past year, we’ve spoken with hundreds of Test Automation Engineers, QE Leads, Quality Managers and even a lot of Directors of Quality Engineering. A common theme kept surfacing:

“Test Observability? Is that for application monitoring?”

While "Test Observability" aimed to communicate our vision of treating test data as first-class telemetry, it often led to confusion with Application Performance Monitoring solutions. This misalignment sometimes caused friction during discovery and understanding of the product’s true capabilities.

Test Reporting & Analytics communicates our purpose with absolute clarity:

  • Comprehensive Test Reporting: Real-time build and test insights across UI, API, and Unit tests—regardless of where they are executed, whether locally, CI runners or even in other cloud environments beyond BrowserStack
  • AI-powered Failure Debugging: Automatically identify flaky tests, root causes, and get all test logs consolidated in a chronological view.
  • Actionable Analytics: Built-in dashboard with insights into test health, stability trends, and other metrics important to QE teams
  • End-to-End Traceability: Complete visibility across all tests, anywhere—with seamless integration into your existing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Powerful & intuitive post-execution workflows: that cut testing cycle time by up to 95% and enables automatic continuous deployments on CI via Quality Gates

With this change, our mission remains stronger than ever: empowering QE teams with the clarity and intelligence needed to release with confidence. This new name sharpens that focus.

What’s Changing?

  • Product name: Test Observability → Test Reporting & Analytics
  • Product URL: The URLs will update progressively, with seamless redirects in place—no action required on your part.
  • Documentation & Communication: You will see this change on our documentation, website, and other communication.

What Stays the Same?

  • All Features and Capabilities: Everything you rely on—Smart Test Reporting, AI-powered Debugging, Test Analytics, and Quality Gates—remains exactly the same.
  • APIs: No changes to your APIs which you may already be using
  • Your Setup and Integrations: Your current configurations, test data, and CI/CD hooks are untouched.
  • Your Entitlements and Pricing: No changes to your subscription plans or access rights.

Why This Matters for You

  • Instant Clarity: Now, it’s clear—Test Reporting & Analytics is purpose-built for QA insights and debugging, not production monitoring.
  • Works Everywhere: Whether your tests run on BrowserStack, on-prem, or in another cloud, you get the same seamless experience and test intelligence.
  • Stronger Communication: For your team, your executives, and even your partners—it’s now easier to understand the value delivered.

We want to thank you for being part of this journey with us. As always, our commitment to empowering your testing efforts with visibility and actionable insights is stronger than ever.
