Yo La Tengo @ Iceland Airwaves. Absolutely legendary. Last time seeing Yo La Tengo was actually in Fribourg, Switzerland four years ago. Totally remembering that night after the show. Haven’t told too many folks this but I missed the last train to go back to Aigle where I was staying. Ended up just wandering the streets waiting for sunrise when I just started to see if any random doors where open. Lo and behold, I found this door open and it was an apartment exercise room. Naturally, I slept on one of the bench press benches. It was also really warm as the heater was cranked. Woke up in time to catch the first train back. Never got caught.
Anyways, back to the present. Nothing dramatic this time around after the Yo La Tengo show. Walked out of Harpa and there was this guy who walked out in his shorts to the Reyka rock in the pond outside the building. Then a naked girl (pretty sure she was naked from the waist down) tried to climb the rock after him but didn’t make it. After seeing this, the hunger set in and decided to look for pizza. That place was packed so the 24 was open (like a 7-11) and had the most timely hot dog snack.
