Warwick Castle

Keen-eyed followers will probably have noticed that all these shots are variations from one vantage point, at the end of Mill Street – like everyone else, I’m really looking forward to being able to visit places again. The castle remained in the hands of the Greville family and Earls of Warwick until 1978, when it was sold to the Tussaud’s Group who, faced with a more or less empty interior, created a waxwork tableau of an Edwardian weekend, which I think is very good. Tussaud’s are now part of Merlin Entertainments, so (apart from lockdowns) now has lots of ‘events’, but the overheads must be enormous.
