The Railway Station of Saint Joseph of the Rio Pardo, São Paulo (State), Brazil.
Image by ER’s Eyes – Our planet is so beautiful.
Railway station of São José do Rio Pardo, 1958.
We travelled to this town by train when I was a kid.
Brazil of the time made the (wrong) choice of oil.
It deactivated almost all passenger lines. There are private freight train line in some other important regions that export products that China needs.
.
The front part of the station is the steam locomotive (train machine house and driver’s cabin) and the second part is the train wagons (passengers, restaurant and etc.)
They pulled up to the rails.
Other stations were purchased by private individuals and made their home. This one was a college 11 years ago.
The railway history of Brazil is nil.
