The “essence” of Greece … HDR + Orton

Greece currently undergoes one of the most difficult eras of its entire long, glorious history … Extremely serious, practically lethal problems of economic and consequently social nature that it has been facing for more than five years now have actually delivered the name of Greece to the sneer and mockery of the rest of the world …. Some of them believe, with their face lit up with impish glee, that things are irreversible even in the long run, that the cradle of the world’s civilization has knelt down by entering into an endless black tunnel with no visible light at its opposite end …
All of them who think like that are extremely short minded for two basic reasons:
The first is that Greece’s problem bears a Global character … Economic markets’ invisible, impersonal, yet absolutely infernal, greedy mechanisms have been silently casting their nets for quite a few decades now to all the countries of the world … Greece is simply the first fish to be caught … Practically every country in this world bears a big to huge debt, the real question is to WHOM ? WHO accumulates this wealth and WHY? Deterministically speaking, everybody’s turn will come, just wait and see ….
The second is that in the long run Greece has a weapon that none of those people actually take into consideration … Its offspring whose top quality intellectual substance, that is now scattered to various countries of the world, will gradually come back to its birthplace to turn things upside down …
