On my way to work this morning – the location of the old Heidelberg Tavern ( www.flickr.com/photos/mallix/1103836674 ) and Cool Runnings. Predominantly frequented by students – it’s features "Jamaican" banana bar deco, throws outdoor style parties with a huge sand-filled terrace out front. Think dodgy, dead palm leaves, thatch and messy nights with the odd crusty hanging around, talking shit and drumming. A good place to be during the Obs Fest ( www.flickr.com/photos/mallix/2083845216/ ). Located near the corner of Lower Main and Station Road, Obesrvatory, Cape Town, South Africa.
