i wonder about the pattern and timelines in this. looking at the big stones vs small stones makes me think …seems to be an interrupted or conflicted process.
maybe running out of big stones, getting on with it using whatever is about whilst waiting for more, or maybe different people working and their preferences and availability of people with ability to lift the big stones, or arguments, change in project management steer, an unexpected sore back, a competing project that takes the young/strong ones away, deadlines looming for next foot of wall causing a moving from most satisfying approach to quickest. …the mind wanders in an engaged but pleasant way.
….is it just me?
alternatively we get to enjoy the pattern without pondering too much if we want to. I find that i move effortlessly between the two approaches. I love stone walls
