Onion In The Light

While on vacation in Arizona, two photographer friends and I were playing around with strobes and decided to light up this onion.
We placed it on a piece of black cloth on the picnic table in our campsite, and then put a black bag behind to so that we could avoid a distracting background. We lit it with one of our small strobes in an 8.6 inch Lastolite softbox positioned at camera right. Fill light came from a large reflector disc at camera left. The flash was in manual mode, and was triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Other still life images that I’ve attempted are in my Still Life album. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157635247182331/
