On the Dempster, the Microwave Tower Network Still Exists

For several decades the Yukon relied heavily on the Land Mobile Radio network which was connected by these Microwave Tower sites. Cellular is still lacking in remote locations, but satellite phones and satellite internet have replaced Mobile Radio communication. Some of these towers are on mountain tops and so remote that they need to be serviced with helicopters.
