The South Florida Water Management District begins work modifying a weir as part of its expedited plan to deliver more fresh water into Everglades National Park’s Taylor Slough and ultimately Florida Bay. These actions will help save the bay by reducing salinity levels and promoting the recovery of seasgrasses killed during a severe drought in 2015.
