Karnowski’s notebook

This is the notebook of Officer Anthony Karnowski of the Cleveland police department, given to me for my birthday by my old friend Alan.
I can’t find out much about Karnowski (apart from his WW2 records, which say that he was born in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and had had four years of high school education before he enlisted in March, 1943). He died a couple of years ago (his last residence seems to be this house), and someone put this notebook up on eBay, along with his collection of mug shots.

WWII U.S. Army Veteran, Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient.
Service at the funeral home Tuesday, May 25 at 11 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), MONDAY 5-8 P.M.
