** Perhaps surprising to some, in the former British Hong Kong, quite a few historical businesses have been named "China". It doesn’t mean China the country, but China as a cultural nation. Other than China Motor Bus Co., there are also China Light & Power (one of Hong Kong’s two main electric utilities), Hong Kong & China Gas (gas utility) and Chinese Estates Holdings (a real estate developer).
