Fox squirrels on a spring day in Ann Arbor, Thursday April 28th, 2022. A short, but excellent, visit on campus today with my squirrel friends. I was able to see a red squirrel – always a treat. But the best part was seeing three juveniles in a nest at the roof eaves of Tappan Hall – home of the University of Michigan Art History Department. It is on the north side of the building, near UMMA. I will call them the Triplets of Tappan Hall. I had my better camera and loved the results. I also got a second dose of squirrels meds to Midge. She lives on the Diag between Hatcher and Mason Hall. I will call her Midge! I also saw a number of squirrels, including a few juveniles, in cavity nests. The cavity nest next to Mason Hall seems to have a family making its way in the world. Lots of mommas who are nursing their babies in their nests. Wishing you joy, health and peace wherever you are.
