Fourth & Pike Building, Seattle, 1937
The Fourth & Pike Building, then known as the Liggett Building, at the southeast corner of Fourth Avenue adn Pike Street.
The difficulties of the Great Depression were on full view: the upstairs retail space was empty, and the main corner space was surfaced with going out of business signs.
On the far left half of the face of Ben Bridge’s street is visible. Ben Bridge’s sign on the building shows how far the jeweler was from their current corner space.
