Macro Mondays – Father
Image measures 2 3/4" on the long side.
I can’t say for sure how old this is, but my parents vacationed in Phoenix, AZ in the mid ’70’s. I’m assuming that’s where this piece came from, but there isn’t anyone to ask now. I believe the black patina is part of the design, it wouldn’t polish off, lol. I shot this on a piece of natural flagstone from my yard.
I lost my dad 21 years ago last week. He was a family doctor who made house calls. Everyone who met him loved and respected him. He was a talented woodworker, and made 3 roll-top walnut desks, finishing them as the first symptoms of Alzheimers set in. He loved growing roses, and playing golf. But most of all, he loved his family. Miss you, Dad. 🌹
Happy Macro Monday!
