Wildlife Areas in Washington often contains remnants of their former lives. Nothing new can be built, no roads can be improved, and even motor vehicles (in most cases) are disallowed. This inclues electric bicycles and ATVs. If you want to experience these places, you’ll have to do it on your own power.
This past spring, I did a whole bunch of miles there and while beat all to hell from falling down and lugging a backpack full of large format gear, I loved every moment of it.
I visited again in the autumn, carrying a bit less and doing many fewer miles. I didn’t see as much, but it was nice to be back.
