This is just a suggestion, perhaps just have an instruction telling people to press "ctrl" and then click on the word you turned into an html link? This allows people to keep the current tab on Flickr and it then opens a new tab to open your link. This is just a suggestion and I do admit it’s not a perfect solution since you have to add that instruction to everything you include a HTML link.
