1973 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron
With a ‘modest’ length of 235 inches, this is the longest non-limousine car ever mass-produced by Detroit, although its rubber bumper guards (whose shadows are visible on this picture) stretch its length by nearly 6 inches. Without these mandatory guards for 1973, the car’s length matches 1969-1972 Imperials (almost 230 inches). Concurrently, the 1974-1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham spans a little under 234 inches, despite having shorter guards. This impressive length figure is followed closely by such cars as the 1975 Buick Electra, the 1976 Chrysler New-Yorker, and the 1973 Olsdmobile Ninety-Eight.
This specimen looks especially cool, with a lowered suspension, 8.75" baby moon hubcaps, and w/o door moldings.
