Howard Park, Miamup, Chardonnay, Margaret River, 2024

Pale hue with a green highlight. Opens with winemaking signatures. Buttery, filo pastry, brioche, nougat, pizza base dough before unfolding with grapefruits (yellow and pink), white florals, preserved lemon, earthy quartz, soft melon and a touch of hessian. Fleshy, melons and bittersweet citrus up front before a savoury, layered and textural mid palate. There’s a sherbety burst and zesty flourish through the finish. Serious and serious value for those who want some flesh on their bones.
