According to a report from Turkish publication Hurriyet, Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho is keen on the Mali international, and his side has submitted a loan offer with an option to buy.
Yves Bissouma is likely to move on
Tottenham are looking to sell the player permanently this summer. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can finalise an agreement. Bissouma has not been at his best this past season, and he has been linked with an exit.
He is unlikely to be a regular starter for Tottenham next season, and leaving the club would be ideal. The Turkish outfit will be able to provide him with regular gametime.
Mourinho has strong connections at the North London club, having managed them in the past. It remains to be seen whether he can play a key role in getting the deal done.
Can Fenerbahce convince Spurs?
The first offer has been submitted by the Turkish outfit, and they will be hoping to get the deal done quickly. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. It seems unlikely that Tottenham will agree to loan the player unless there is an obligation to buy. They will look to improve the squad this summer, and they need to raise funds by selling some of their fringe players. Sending the 28-year-old loan with an option to buy does not benefit them.
