I grew up quite poor, a portion of my life i lived out of a storage room in the basement of a complex secretly with my mom. But if you asked me i would have said i was pretty happy, as i played with the miniature furniture id made and kept in my shoebox rooms. At the time i had no idea it was considered a โrich peopleโ hobby of course, it was just something that naturally drew my attention
Iโd like to say no , but I have no money and no dollhouse โฆ u donโt have to be the best to miniature , rich to own a book , loud to be Christian โฆ smart to go to school or drive .
Yah I watch this mother daughter combo that literally spend nothing but time and creativity together repairing someoneโs trash and also all kinds of beautiful unique delicate miniatures all from basically trash . Absolutely beautiful work when itโs all done and very inspiring to watch. โค
I have been collecting scraps from neighbors, the curb and listed free online. Someone was closing their upholstery business and I got all sorts of leather, suede, fabric free. I take knobs off abandoned swollen particle board furniture, scrap buckles, beads, lace off purses tossed to curb and on & on.
yea even me on poverty line was able to make balsawood diy stuff. in the end the cost is definitely on the skill side than the material side. even those with major skill have their projects based on cheap materials like das clay. you cant go much cheaper than that.
I got this dollhouse and can't wait to build her! I found her on FB marketplace for only 150 ๐ expensive, but way cheaper than buying brand new from the store. Plus, she's not even open โค๐
I always love miniature or these mini things, but I just can't with cleaning the dust. So tricky and kinda hard since everything is so tiny.. How y'all deal with that? Any faster way/tips?
