Great partners shine in times like these. Whether you’re a co-founder, a VC, or a spouse, the most uncertain moments are when being genuinely supportive becomes invaluable. These are the times that define a person’s true character.

Focus is a superpower. If you’d rather skip the rest of this post to tackle your top priorities for the day, please do. This week will be rife with distractions. Social media algos are more seductive than ever. Plenty of interesting (and uninteresting) people will be shouting from the rooftops and howling at the moon. Try to ignore it. This is a week made for out-executing the competition.

AI remains in its infancy. Despite market turmoil, tech is still in the early stages of a major platform shift. Countless mind-blowing AI products are in the works and even more are yet to be built.

Preferences are overrated. This one’s for my VC and PE peers. Some may find temporary comfort in holding a preferred security, but beware. If we slip into a bear market, pay-to-play structures and other mechanisms could wipe out those preferences in droves.
