Build Your Own Outdoor Sectional

Full Tutorial here: farmhouseishblog.com/outdoor-sectional/

Outdoor sectionals can be SO expensive. So this year I decided to build one myself using my @HART miter saw, drill, and sander.

It’s built completely out of cedar 2x4s and assembled almost completely with 2.5” pocket hole screws aside from screwing on the back (where I used 2.5” exterior wood screws).

Dimensions:
– Overall: 97.5×77.5”
– Seat depth: 28”
– Seat depth with cushion: 25”
– Floor to seat height: 14.75”
– Floor to seat with cushion: 19.75”
– Leg height: 11”
– Floor to top of back: 30”
– Base: 96×28”, 28×24”, 28×24” ottoman
– Back: 97.5×30”, 52.25×30”

Head to my LTK for all the tools, materials, cushions, and pillows I used!

And let me know if you want a detailed cut list & tutorial for this one!

  1. Be careful on those corners!! Find something to brace your piece with like some long clamps. Don't find out the hard way how much a screw right into your palm hurts!

  2. I built my own however I don’t think it came out less expensive. lol. But it’s definitely nicer than anything store bought, and it’s exactly what I wanted.
