"This diner was built for the Galanis family (a family with a long and distinguished history in the diner business) by the Worcester Lunch Car Company in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1940: Diner number 762.
It was operated as the Agawam Diner in Depot Square in Ipswich, Massachusetts, from 1940 to 1947.
It was replaced by a larger diner in 1947, and at that time it was returned to the Worcester Lunch Car Company for remodeling.
After being remodeled, it was operated as the Agawam Diner on Route 1 at Route 133 in Rowley, Massachusetts from 1949 to 1970, when it was once again replaced by a larger diner.
It has been operated as the Fish Tale Diner on the waterfront off Route 1 in Salisbury, Massachusetts, since 1970."
